Power quality issues are often difficult to solve because the most important events do not happen in isolation. Voltage dips, flicker, harmonics, transient events, and frequency fluctuations can appear together, and finding the real cause requires a tool that can capture all of them on the same time axis. The Hioki Power Quality Analyzer PQ3100 is designed to make that process easier by combining standards-based power quality measurement with user-friendly setup and long-term recording capability. Current measurement depends on the selected sensor, with ranges from 50.000 mA AC to 5.0000 kA AC and 10.000 A DC to 2.0000 kA DC. The analyzer also measures harmonics from the 0th to 50th order, interharmonics from 0.5th to 49.5th order, flicker, unbalance, crest factor, power factor, and a wide range of energy and power parameters.

Another practical strength is long-term recording and reporting support. Hioki specifies a maximum recording interval of one year and up to 9,999 recordable events × 365 days. The bundled PQ ONE application software is designed to help users analyze captured data in detail and create regular power quality reports more efficiently. Hioki also notes compatibility with remote monitoring workflows through GENNECT One SF4000 and wireless linkage to supported Hioki loggers using a Bluetooth-compatible adapter.
