Battery-recycling infrastructure | RCC Electronics
Before battery modules enter a recycling process, stored energy must be managed in a controlled manner. The DV Power Module Discharge Container System (MDCS) is designed for safe, efficient module discharge in a dedicated outdoor 10-foot container. RCCE supports Canadian organizations evaluating DV Power solutions for battery-recycling operations.
MDCS integrates 32 discharge channels in a secure containerized system. The design supports outdoor operation and provides a controlled way to extract energy from battery modules before recycling.
| System element | Published MDCS function |
|---|---|
| Discharge capacity | 32 discharge channels for battery modules |
| Central control | Industrial PC coordinates sensor inputs, alarms, and emergency stop logic |
| Operator interface | 15-inch display for settings, parameters, and real-time thermal feedback |
| Thermal safety | Two thermal cameras plus module-connected temperature-sensor channels; discharge stops on unsafe temperature detection |
| Mechanical layout | Rack holds four pallets with eight battery modules per pallet |
Technical configuration statements are adapted from DV Power’s official MDCS product page. Site design, handling and safety requirements must be assessed for the specific application.
