The PQ3198 is a high-end IEC 61000-4-30 Ed. 3 Class A power quality analyzer. It measures voltage, current, power, harmonics, flicker, swells, dips, interruptions, transients, and 2–80 kHz supraharmonics. Its fourth voltage channel is isolated from the first three, enabling two-circuit measurement or AC/DC input-output comparison.

1. Select by Application
Power quality troubleshooting
For equipment shutdowns, resets, overheating, breaker trips, and unknown power problems: record dips, swells, interruptions, transients, frequency, harmonics, and inrush current.
Long-term monitoring / preventive maintenance
Record trends and events over extended periods; recommended: Z4003 8 GB SD card. For remote field viewing, add the 9642 LAN cable.
Load survey / capacity assessment
Record current, power, power factor, demand, and energy. Select CT7126 / CT7131 / CT7136 or CT7044/45/46 based on maximum current.
Solar, wind, energy storage, and EV charging
Choose CT7731 / CT7736 / CT7742. Use the isolated fourth voltage channel for input/output quality checks and simplified efficiency comparison.
Data center / UPS
Monitor UPS input/output, transients, inrush, harmonics, and continuity of supply. Optional LAN remote management, GPS synchronization, and long-term SD storage are available.
Leakage current investigation
Choose CT7116. Suitable for insulated conductors, rated 6 A AC, and mA-level leakage current investigation.
2. Select by Wiring System and Channel Count
1P2W: typically 1 current sensor.
1P3W: typically 2 current sensors.
3P3W: typically 3 current sensors. Add PW9000 to reduce 3P3W3M voltage connections from six leads to three.
3P4W: 3 phase-current sensors, or 4 when neutral current must also be recorded. Add PW9001 to reduce voltage connections from six leads to four.
Dual-circuit / simultaneous AC and DC measurement:Configure according to the channels used. Up to four current channels are available, and voltage channel 4 is isolated from channels 1 to 3.
